About a year ago, I hired Lee Wright to help me transform my “space.” And by the end of our project, I not only had a beautiful room, but I learned a tremendous amount about design, and architecture, and – maybe most importantly – about myself.
Lee, of course, has all of the qualities that, in my view, are important in any professional. She is very bright. She is highly skilled. And she is exceedingly knowledgeable in design and architecture. Her knowledge of her industry and her working relationships with vendors and other professionals are immediately apparent and comforting. She is efficient, and punctual, and responsive. From a fundamental business standpoint, in terms of logistics and communication, Lee is simply outstanding in all respects.
But what sets Lee Wright apart, in my view, is the passion and intensity she brings to the project. Lee is dynamic and genuine. I believe that Lee was able to create a space that I love because she cared enough to take the time to learn about me; what I like and dislike; what I wanted from the space; and what I wanted from my life. I felt like working with Lee was not a project. It was not about colors and layouts. It was a brief journey during which I was encouraged to think deeply, and reflect honestly about myself. And it was like this for me simply because of the way Lee approached it.
And to top it all off, Lee has an impeccable sense of style, which when it comes to architecture and design, is an absolute necessity.
I would not hesitate to recommend Lee Wright to anyone for any aspect of architecture and design consulting for any project – large or small. She is an amazing woman. And she does amazing work.
It is with great pleasure to write this testimonial for S. Lee Wright. Lee is an EXCEPTIONAL OUTSTANDING INTERIOR DESIGNER who is passionate beyond belief and she is extremely knowledgeable about her profession.
Our friendship began 15 years ago while we both volunteered at the Hospital for Joint Diseases to provide Reflexology to women with disabilities. After this ended, we went our separate ways, both following our own life journey. However, in October 2015 after my mother passed, as I was facing the overwhelming task of a full-gut renovation of my Mother’s neglected apartment in Chinatown, I came across Lee again on a Facebook post and I was inspired to reconnect with her to ask for her help.
The overwhelming task of completing a full-gut renovation on a modest budget and as quickly as possible, along with the management of my own grief and medical crisis, made Lee the perfect designer to work with. Although my daughter was skeptical at first regarding Lee’s ability to manage the project while living abroad, we both were amazed with the results and Lee’s Holistic approach made it a surprisingly easy – and even sometimes fun- journey.
The tiny studio of 454 SF was transformed from a neglected mess into a warm, welcoming and lovely home. Lee managed to outline the process in a way we could follow and participate in, hired the contractor, managed the construction, selected the fixtures, fittings, and finishes, and all within our modest budget and tight schedule. In addition to this, Lee designed the space using Sustainable and eco-friendly design principals like Energy Star appliances and no-VOC paints that we could feel good about in the long term.
Lee’s design transformation of my Mother’s dingy apartment is a masterpiece. Her brilliant creativity exceeded my daughter and my expectations. Lee demonstrated an impressive level of professionalism and expertise, and all while living in another country! She was a priceless angel that helped us in our time of need.
I first worked with Lee in 2008 to use her Feng Shui and Interior Designer skills for a pre-war apartment I had just bought. Lee’s Feng Shui work was spot-on. I have never spent more time comfortable and happy in a house as I have over the ten years of living in this apartment. And, Lee also helped me with design elements covering everything from how much art to hang on the walls, and why, to the types of fixtures, etc. that would complement what I had. On top of that she designed and had made the curtains for my living room and bedroom, and the incredibly flexible bedroom curtains are not only out of category beautiful, with different materials on each side, but are configured to provide you with a full view of the street, a peekaboo view of the street, or function as all-out blackout curtains, which are greatly appreciated living in New York.
Lee and I are now working on my kitchen where you have to squeeze every ounce of space available. And on top of that, Lee provides appliance specs based on what’s the best price/performance and not just what’s the best name.
In the end, you get an amazing combination of a trained designer who is passionate about Feng Shui and the balance it produces in your home, and a designer who will work and collaborate with you so you can get exactly the space you want.
